Troop 1G gives girls real opportunities to lead, problem-solve, camp, serve, and grow through adventure while supported by trained adult leaders every step of the way.

All registered adult leaders complete background checks and Youth Protection Training through Scouting America, with many also completing additional outdoor and safety training.

We work hard to create a troop environment that is welcoming, organized, supportive, and safe for both scouts and families.

Upcoming Adventures

  • We will spend one week attending our in-council Summer Camp located less than 30 minutes from our meeting place. Here the scouts will earn merit badges, participate in nightly activities and enjoy all that the outdoors has to offer.

  • A guided wilderness canyoneering experience combining hiking, rappelling and navigating through streams and rock formations paired with a day spent on class II-IV rapids. All while fostering team work, resilience, and leadership skills.

  • An annual trip to the mountains of North Carolina for a 4+ mile backpacking trip. This trip helps meet camping and cooking merit badge requirements as well as fulfilling rank requirements.

Why Scouting America?

For over a century, Scout programs have instilled essential values found in the Scout Oath and Scout Law, guiding youth toward their full potential. Today, these core values remain vital in shaping confident, responsible individuals.

Our Scout-led troop emphasizes leadership, adventure, and community. We believe in empowering young women to grow in confidence, learn life skills, and make friendships through Scouting.

  • Scouting teaches leadership through hands-on roles like leading campouts, organizing service projects, and guiding teams. Scouts build responsibility, communication, cooperation, confidence, and resilience. Skills that prepare them to lead in their communities and beyond

  • From hiking through breathtaking trails to learning the art of camping under the stars, every outing is filled with opportunities for growth and fun. Scouts will engage in hands-on activities like cooking over a campfire, mastering knots and lashings, and participating in community service projects that make a difference.

  • In Troop 1G, girls build lasting bonds through teamwork, outdoor adventures, skills, and service. A supportive sisterhood celebrates successes, faces challenges together, and creates lifelong memories that empower each member.

  • Earning merit badges and advancing in rank builds responsibility, commitment, and leadership. Each badge poses challenges that teach planning, perseverance, teamwork, goal-setting, critical thinking, and problem.
